If an IHOP restaurant is just a hop and skip away, then there’s no excuse to miss out on its exciting events and promos! Besides, there’s the fact that IHOP is among the best places for fluffy pancakes and filling waffles with just about any sweet and savory toppings.
Just to keep you updated, as any self-respecting IHOP fan should, here are the three must-know events at the International House of Pancakes.
All You Can Eat Pancakes
Pancakes and waffles are comfort food and staple food at the same time, not to mention that these are closely associated with American cuisine. We just can’t seem to have enough of these flour-and-eggs concoctions and IHOP knows it.
And so the chain brought back its All You Can Eat Pancakes deal! You will have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited pancakes until March 1, 202o and it’s an opportunity you simply can’t pass up.
How does it work exactly? Just order a Breakfast Combo and get unlimited pancakes on the side at no extra cost! You will be given the pancakes two at a time until you have your fill and tell the server to stop serving the fluffy goodness on a plate.
Just think of the stacks of fluffy and flavorful pancakes along with their toppings as well as staple IHOP offerings like eggs, bacon and sausage. Everything’s all right with the world when you’re fully enjoying your breakfast at IHOP – and every day, if that’s what you want.
And for the first time in 2020, IHOP is also giving unlimited pancakes with the 2x2x2 combo. The combo consists of two eggs served with your choice of either two pork sausage links or two strips of hickory-smoked bacon. The offer lasts from Monday to Friday and costs – get this – just $4.99 per combo and no extra charges on the unlimited pancakes.
But there are terms and conditions although these are reasonable. First, you can’t enjoy the deal with either an omelet or with a kid’s meal. Second, it isn’t available on National Pancake Day.
National Pancake Day
Every year, IHOP changes the actual day for its National Pancake Day. For 2020, it’s on February 25 starting at 7 a.m. On this day, customers who order dine-in meals will get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
But it isn’t just about the free pancakes. IHOP customers can also be more altruistic by donating at least $5 to the chain with the money donated to several hospitals.
2020 Tip Challenge
Have you heard of the 2020 Tip Challenge? It’s a trend that apparently started when Danielle Franzoni, a waitress at Thunder Bay River Restaurant in Michigan, received a $2,020 tip on a $23 bill. It’s been adopted by numerous people, among the latest of whom is Donnie Wahlberg.
Jenny McCarthy, Wahlberg’s wife, posted a photo on Twitter of an IHOP receipt showing a $2,020 tip on a $78.46 bill. He even wrote “Happy New Year. 2020 Tip Challenge” in reference to the trend. The tip is obviously well above the recommended tip ranging between 15% and 20% and it was certainly a great gift for the server.
But don’t worry if you don’t have the extra money to tip IHOP servers with $2,020 because it won’t be taken against you. Just come to IHOP and enjoy the food!
