History
Opened in 2011, the Wicked Spoon Buffet is a major hotel eat-all-you-can buffet restaurant in the bustling Sin City. It is The Cosmopolitan’s version of a high-end buffet, in competition with other major hotels’ posh buffets.
With Las Vegas becoming a foodie haven in the recent years, The Cosmopolitan wanted a way to compete not only with other buffet restaurants in the strip, but also with other renowned eateries in the area as well. They did magnificently, in all fairness, with their chef-driven menu. Dubbed as a “food hall” instead of a “buffet” by people behind the restaurant, the Wicked Spoon Buffet was able to stand out from the crowd by being in defiance of what they’re supposed to be.
What They are Famous for
But what is Wicked Spoon best known for? Here are a few things that this draws people to this “food hall.”
- Relaxed atmosphere. Unlike in other buffet restaurants, you won’t find Wicked Spoon’s food stations in the middle of the dining area. Instead, you’ll walk into a quiet, elegant space that you won’t expect to be an eat-all-you can establishment. The buffet table is tucked away in a back corner, so the place isn’t buzzing with activity and you can enjoy a nice meal without too much distractions and people milling about.
- A number of readily plated dishes. If you tend to eat with your eyes and usually end up with too much of a certain dish, you should fret not because as Wicked Spoon, certain items are already plated and portioned nicely.
- Excellent dessert station. Some people tend to overeat and leave no room for dessert. It’s such a shame to do that in Wicked Spoon as they offer an extensive deseert spread, ranging from pastries, fruits, sweets, and ice cream.
